Three open postdoctoral positions

Two postdoc positions in machine learning/data analysis

We are seeking two highly skilled Postdoctoral researchers with expertise in Machine Learning for predominantly (though not exclusively) LHCb-focused projects. Candidates should possess a background in particle physics, computer science, or equivalent fields, along with experience in deep learning using TensorFlow or PyTorch. One of the two postdocs should have significant experience in data analysis in experimental particle physics. If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please submit your CV and the contact information for three references to Prof. Nico Serra (nicola.serra@cern.ch) and Dr. Patrick Owen (powen@physik.uzh.ch) via email.

One postdoc position in detector development

We are seeking an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to spearhead our hardware activities in Mu3e, LHCb, and SND@LHC projects.  They will participate in the integration and commissioning of the inner silicon pixel detector for Mu3e and contribute to R&D studies for HV-MAPS detectors for future LHCb upgrades. In addition, they will be involved in the hadronic calorimeter and the muon systems of SND@LHC, built by our group. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics and experience in detector R&D and commissioning. If you are interested in the position, please send an email with CV and the contact of three references to Prof. Nico Serra (nicola.serra@cern.ch) and Prof. Olaf Steinkamp (olaf.steinkamp@physik.uzh.ch) via email.
